Tom Andreesen is a founding Managing Director with Protiviti Inc. and leader of Protiviti’s Chicago office. He has more than 25 years of experience in managing the evaluation, implementation and support of technology solutions as well as helping companies assess their technology risks. He also helps companies establish their risk management functions and corporate governance programs. Additionally, Tom leads Protiviti’s Central Region financial services industry practice and is a member of the global IT Consulting practice leadership team. Before joining Protiviti, Tom was with Accenture for nine years, where he focused on the design and implementation of technology solutions. He also spent two years with Norstan Consulting, a technology consulting firm, leading offices in Omaha and Kansas City. Andreesen was previously a senior manager with Arthur Andersen, responsible for the Technology Risk Consulting group in Kansas City and Omaha. He has a B.S. degree in computer engineering from Iowa State University and has served in a variety of leadership positions with various organizations, including with the Board of Directors for Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) in Kansas City. Tom currently serves on the Leadership Council of the American Lung Association Chicago area chapter, and is also an Advisory Board member for Indiana University’s Institute for Business Analytics.
