Amarin Young

Marketing & Communications Associate


Amarin Young is the Marketing & Communications Associate at Resilience, where she is responsible for developing and executing Resilience’s annual marketing strategy and supporting its communications. Amarin joined Resilience in November 2018. She completed her 40 hours of training in sexual assault crisis intervention in 2016 and volunteers on the 24-hour crisis hotline at Rape Advocacy, Counseling, and Education Services in Urbana, Illinois. Before working at Resilience, Amarin served as the Program Coordinator at YWCA University of Illinois, coordinating social justice education and advocacy programs for university students and the greater Champaign-Urbana community. Amarin has served as a peer educator on issues of diversity and inclusion, worked on feminist zines, and taught children and tweens to produce indie radio. Amarin holds a BA in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago.
