Legal & Medical Advocate
Ana Cardona is a recently hired Legal & Medical Advocate, soon to be working out of Resilience’s Austin Community Office. She graduated two years ago from Loyola University Chicago with two Bachelor’s degrees. One in Criminal Justice and Criminology, and the other in Spanish Literature and Language. After graduating from Loyola, Ana began her career in the social work field as a social worker for undocumented youth. She has developed a passion for social work and highly believes that being able to help underrepresented, vulnerable, and marginalized communities is her vocation. Ana is ecstatic to be part of the Resilience team and utilize the interpersonal skills, and trauma informed approaches that she developed in her previous position. She hopes to become an agent of change as an advocate in order to empower and help sexual assault survivors heal. Ana is able to deliver services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
