UIC Legal & Medical Advocate
Daniella Sánchez is the UIC Legal & Medical Advocate, located at Resilience’s Michigan Avenue office. She joined the Advocacy Program this year, and is a recent graduate of the University Of Illinois-Chicago with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Law-and-Justice. Daniella developed her passion for advocacy while volunteering as a paraprofessional for over a year at the UIC InTouch Crisis Hotline. There she acquired crisis intervention skills in addition to assessing for safety and providing support to people in various crisis. Daniella began her work at Resilience in August of 2015 as a Legal Advocacy Intern and has carried an active caseload of clients as well as assisting many survivors in successfully obtaining protective orders. Daniella is able to offer services in English and Spanish.
