Jasmin Cervantes is a Legal & Medical Advocate for Resilience, where she focuses on the institutional response to sexual assault survivors. She provides crisis intervention, emotional support, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, information and referrals to survivors and their significant others. Jasmin first got involved in Resilience’s work after graduating from DePaul University, as a legal advocacy intern where she provided hours of direct support to survivors at the domestic violence courthouse by assisting them in petitioning for orders of protection and she was also an active medical advocate. Her passion for advocacy grew as she continued to learn and work with survivors. Jasmin is able to deliver services in both English and Spanish. She wants to continue to work with the community to bring justice to survivors and a change to institutions.
