LaCovia “Covi” Harper is an Austin-based Legal & Medical Advocate at Resilience, bringing over 20 years of dedicated service to her community. A long-time resident of Austin, she was born and raised on Chicago’s Westside, where her deep-rooted commitment to advocacy and social justice took shape. Covi holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from National Louis University and has spent her career passionately working to support, uplift, and empower those affected by violence and trauma.
With an unwavering dedication to being a voice for the voiceless, Covi strives to empower individuals to find their own voices while working tirelessly to create meaningful change. Her advocacy spans critical issues such as sexual violence, gun violence, domestic violence, and access to vital resources. She is especially focused on informing and strategically connecting undervalued communities with the services and support they need.
Covi’s work is driven by a passion for policy change and a desire to build stronger, safer communities. Through her work at Resilience, she continues to help individuals navigate the complex legal and medical systems while advocating for systemic change.
