Michael Roy

Director of Education and Training

Originally from Omaha, Michael has found a second home in Chicago. He is passionate about educational equity as well as well-being and has been working to advance equity, mental health resources, and healthy relationships in Chicago Public Schools since 2019. His primary research interests are healing justice, community well-being, race-based trauma, and minority stress. His interpersonal style is warm and humorous. When not at work or school, Michael adores spending time with friends, trying local coffee spots, and taking random day trips outside the city. He has an M.Ed in Community Engagement.
