Sil Castlebury

Case Management Specialist


Sil Castlebury is a case management specialist at Resilience, working out of the central office. She provides crisis intervention, information and referrals for survivors in search for crisis services. She became interested in advocacy after completing her internship with the Illinois Innocence Project as a case evaluator and translator while completing her bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal Justice at the University of Illinois at Springfield. After graduating she joined the Illinois JusticeCorps as a courthouse fellow helping low income litigants who cannot afford attorneys in civil cases. She worked as a supervisor of training for the Champaign Circuit Clerk training all legal desks, before she transitioned into legal advocacy for Rape Advocacy, Counseling and Education Services (RACES) in Urbana, helping survivors acquire orders of protection and guiding them through the system with other civil and criminal matters. Sil is able to help survivors in both English and Spanish.
