Trauma Therapist (Bilingual)
Victoria Herrera is a bilingual and bicultural (Spanish-speaking) Trauma Therapist at Resilience’s Northside location. As a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Master’s program in Art Therapy, Victoria provides a unique blend of both traditional talk therapy and the creative arts therapy.
Victoria has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a variety of diverse settings including community mental health organizations, a psychiatric hospital, and within the Chicago Public School system. She believes each of her clients should have access to treatment that is tailored to address their individual needs, preferences and personalities and views the therapeutic relationship as collaborative with mutual respect, compassion, and warmth. Victoria integrates modalities such as mindfulness techniques, somatic awareness, and holistic approaches to assist her clients in recovering the mind and body connection that is greatly impacted after sexual trauma.
Victoria deeply believes that every individual has the capacity to build their resilience and feels very grateful to support her clients’ journeys towards healing.
