DESCRIPTION:Participants will create a visual support net to reflect on relationships in their lives. Workshop will include demonstration\, guided step-by-step instructions\, and open work time. Required materials needed to participate: 1 full piece of paper\, 1 piece of paper you can cut up\, Glue/tape and scissors\, Media for decorating the paper. \nThursday February 16th 12pm-2pm \nThis workshop is open to adult survivors 18+\, who are IL residents\, all genders welcome. Appropriate participants may be anyone who has experienced sexual violence\, including harassment\, abuse\, or assault. No previous artmaking experience necessary. DESCRIPTION:Join this two-hour workshop to create comfort boxes in a group. The workshop will include inspiration examples\, education on cope ahead skills (DBT)\, with open work time and opportunity to gather objects. Required materials to participate are a box or container of any kind along with common items to adorn the box and materials that can be gathered independently such as paper\, magazines for collage\, pens\, markers\, and more. \nThis workshop is open to adult survivors 18+\, who are IL residents\, all genders welcome. Appropriate participants may be anyone who has experienced sexual violence\, including harassment\, abuse\, or assault. No previous artmaking experience necessary. Interested participants may contact Annalise Castro\, MAATC at acastro@ourresilience.org to receive the meeting link. \nLearn how to prepare to care and comfort yourself while using art as a reflective process that involves exploring concepts\, ideas\, and thoughts with art and images in order to understand and create personal meaning. Join the Resilience Associate Board for a winter-themed sip and paint event at Pinot’s Palette in Logan Square! Proceeds will go to funding the important work Resilience is doing in fighting rape culture and empowering survivors across the Chicagoland area. \nIn addition to painting the beautiful Aurora Lake\, there will be a raffle and prizes that can be gifts for you and your loved ones. \nClick here to register! \nPLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ALSO SEE THE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW\nWe encourage our guests to arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the paint party to allow time to grab a beverage\, get ready to paint\, and settle in at your table. Our paint parties begin at the scheduled start time. It’s MUCH MORE FUN when we start together. Very difficult to catch up late parties. \nPaint\, drink & have fun with us at Pinot’s Palette Logan Square! At our sip and paint parties\, guests enjoy a ‘no art experience required’ paint party & all art supplies are included! You’ll be led by our talented local artists who will guide you step-by-step to create the featured painting. \nOur paint events are more party than art class. Though our artists will guide you to create the featured painting\, this is your masterpiece! You can follow along as much\, or as little\, as you’d like. Feel free to choose a different color from our paint cart\, add in your own detail or paint another image entirely. We encourage creativity! \nThe more the merrier\, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS! We paint\, drink and have fun! \nWe are located at 2768 N. Milwaukee Ave\, a half-block south of Diversey Avenue and steps from the Blue Line Logan Square L stop (exit towards Spaulding). Coming from the north or south? We’re a mile west of I-94 (exit at California from the north\, Diversey Ave from the south). Street parking is available all along Milwaukee\, Diversey\, and Kimball Avenues. Most street parking is $2/hr (tip: the Park Chicago app makes paying for parking a breeze). Street parking is free on Sundays. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Due to the custom nature of our parties and classes\, Refunds are not issued for reservation cancellations. Should you need to reschedule your reservation and provide at least 24-hour notice\, your reservation will be transferred to a studio credit that can be used only for a future paint party reservation at our Logan Square studio. Please email us at logansquare@pinotspalette.com if you need to cancel. If you ‘no-show’ for a party or class that you have a spot reserved\, or do not give at least 24 hours cancellation notice\, you forfeit your reservation payment.
