In a video on NBC 5 on January 23, 2019, Director of Advocacy Services Mariá Balata gave a new training to emergency physicians at Rush University Medical Center. The training, which was a custom 4-hour training for Rush designed and delivered by Balata, will help physicians better care for survivors and collect evidence to prosecute perpetrators of sexual violence.
