Denim Day
April 30 -12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Denim Day is a global campaign held every year on the last Wednesday in April in honor of SAAM. The campaign began after a controversial ruling by the Italian Supreme Court, where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices argued that since the victim was wearing tight jeans, she must have helped her attacker remove them, implying consent. In response, the women of the Italian Parliament wore jeans to work the following day in solidarity with the victim.
This Denim Day, we ask you to join us by wearing denim, sharing photos, and tagging Resilience (@ResilienceChi) on social media to stand against victim-blaming and show support for survivors everywhere.
