Centering Survivors: Creative Approaches to Treating Sexual Trauma
This training will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of how to address the needs of survivors of sexual violence trauma-informed creative intervention. Trainers will provide an overview of trauma therapy within the context of dismantling rape culture. Polyvagal and attachment theories are explored through the lens of creative arts modalities. Vicarious resilience is introduced as a method to increase sustainability within the therapeutic relationship. Participants will be invited to engage in experiential learning to solidify these concepts.
