I said #MeToo this week, as did many of us. Watching Harvey Weinstein fall from his post of privilege has unleashed a roller coaster of emotions for all of us. Here at Rape Victim Advocates (RVA), we’re glad another light is shining on the incredible courage of survivors.

If you’ve been on social media in the last 48 hours, you’ve seen the magnitude of survivors speaking out through #MeToo – a hashtag used more than a half a million times to stand against sexual harassment and assault.

If #MeToo makes you want to take action, please consider making a gift to RVA today. RVA supports more than 2,000 survivors and 14,000 students every year through trauma therapy, advocacy services, and prevention education.

While it’s a sad truth that so many of us have been victims of sexual violence, it’s also a time to celebrate our collective voices rising together to take a stand. I’m proud to be part of #MeToo, and I hope you’ll join me in continuing to use your voice to confront rape culture and support survivors.

Help those who have posted or ever thought #MeToo by supporting RVA today.

Thank you for always standing with RVA and saying or thinking, #MeToo.

In solidarity,

Erin Walton
