The rebrand will capture the organization’s breadth of services from empowering survivors to ending sexual violence
CHICAGO, Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Chicago-based nonprofit Rape Victim Advocates announced today its rebrand and name change to Resilience.
The rebrand encompasses the full impact of the organization –– from Resilience’s trauma therapy programs to its work in medical and legal advocacy to sexual violence education and prevention. The new brand will include more empowering messaging for survivors and refreshed brand elements meant to encourage unity among Resilience’s supporters. The brand’s evolution mirrors some of the same shifts in how survivors and activists talk about sexual violence and prevention today.
“The name Resilience honors sexual violence survivors, and the staff and volunteers who work alongside them,” said Erin Walton, executive director of Resilience. “It is the resilience of survivors, however they define it, that inspires us to do our work every day.”
Resilience’s mission will become clearer with the brand’s updated tagline, “Empowering Survivors, Ending Sexual Violence.” The rebrand will serve as a catalyst to breathe new life into the organization’s steadfast commitment to end sexual violence.
“People are more open to conversations about sexual violence prevention than ever before,” Walton said. “The name Resilience better positions our organization as a key proponent in ending sexual violence and giving survivors the support they need to move forward.”
