We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Resilience’s new Executive Director, Donna Jacobson. We believe that her passion for our mission, her experience, and her vision will enable Resilience to continue to achieve its mission – to assure that survivors of sexual assault are treated with dignity and compassion and to effect changes in the way the legal system, medical institutions, and society as a whole respond to survivors.

Donna brings almost 30 years of experience in social services – working both as a social worker and an Executive Director, and has a proven track record of success in leading organizations like ours. We are confident in her leadership and guidance that will enable us to serve our communities, expand our services, and ensure staff and volunteers are supported in the advancement of our mission.

We want to express our gratitude to our community – our donors, our grantors, our volunteers, and our supporters – for their ongoing commitment to our mission. With your help, we can continue to imagine a world where sexual violence does not exist.

I also want to thank Sarah Layden for her leadership as our interim Executive Director. Sarah will be a critical part of Donna’s onboarding and transition and we expect Sarah to continue to thrive in a leadership role in the years ahead.

Please join us in welcoming Donna Jacobson to Resilience. The Board looks forward to working with her and all of our supporters to make a positive impact on our community.

Sincerely,

Lauren Pesa (she/her)
