Dr. Jennifer Zale

Events & Special Projects Manager


Jennifer is responsible for leading fundraising events, such as the annual Evening of Impact, and ensuring that Resilience has a large presence in the Chicagoland area. She also serves as a liaison to the Associate Board. Jennifer became a medical advocate with Resilience in 2019 and has spent hundreds of hours on-call serving survivors. She became an inaugural member of the Associate Board in 2019, and has served as the Fundraising Committee Chair and Silent Auction Chair for Evening of Impact. Over the past four years the Associate Board has created several signature events that now occur on a yearly basis. These fundraisers include the holiday Paint & Sip at Pinot’s Palette, Cocktails For A Cause, and the Empowerment 5K Run, Walk & Roll.

Jennifer holds a PhD in Communication & Culture (focus on media) from Indiana University Bloomington. She has a wide array of experience lecturing, publishing, researching, grant writing, presenting at conferences, and teaching, including courses pertaining to gender and sexuality. Her goal is to ensure that the entire Chicago community is aware of the important services Resilience provides to survivors, as well as the many opportunities to volunteer or financially support our organization. Jennifer, a Chicago native, is very passionate about Resilience’s mission to end sexual violence and provide judgment-free support to all those who seek it.
