Marisol Barrera

Prevention Educator


Marisol Barrera (she/her) is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Prevention Educator at Resilience, where she is dedicated to providing sexual violence prevention education primarily to youth in Chicago Public Schools, from grades K-12, while occasionally also working with young adults and adults.
 
A proud Chicago native, Marisol graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Her academic background and experience in education inform her approach to prevention work, empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward healing and preventing harm.
 
In her free time, Marisol enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She is passionate about creating a positive impact both in and outside of the community.
 
Fun fact: Marisol played the French Horn for 8 years!
