Deitra Lawson is the Owner and Principal Accountant at Dignissim Accounting, LLC, where she brings over 15 years of experience working with nonprofits to strengthen their financial management and long-term sustainability. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Loyola University Chicago, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Illinois, and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Through her work, Deitra has helped organizations build stronger financial strategies, navigate audits, and create transparency that inspires trust among boards, donors, and communities. In addition, Dignissim Accounting is proudly certified as both a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the City of Chicago.

Outside of her professional life, Deitra loves traveling with her teenage son and walking her two rambunctious puppies. She also finds joy in volunteering and giving back to the nonprofit community, where she continues to build connections and contribute her expertise to organizations making a difference.
